UAE kidnaps several leaders in Socotra

SOCOTRA, March 25 (YPA) – The UAE forces kidnapped on Thursday several leaders of the sit-in committee against the occupation on the island of Socotra.

According to sources on the island, the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council militia, kidnapped the head of the sit-in committee on the island, sheikh Mohammad Saeed Issa, and the director of the office Socotra’s Sheikhs, Ali Saad Salmeen, and a number of others.

The sources pointed out that the kidnapping operation came against the background of the establishment of the Socotra sit-in committee against the Emirates on the island.

This comes after the UAE’s vehicles imposed a military cordon on the venue for the election of the committee, which is under the control of the Saudi forces.
