Tehran: We support any peace plan based on ending war in Yemen

SANAA, March 23 (YPA) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday condemned the continuing war on the Yemeni people, noting that Tehran supports any peace plan based on a ceasefire and lifting the siege on Yemen.

According to the “Tasnim” agency, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “Tehran supports any peace plan based on ending the aggression and occupation, a ceasefire and lifting the economic blockade on Yemen,” Pointing out that Iran, since the outbreak of this war, has confirmed that there is no military solution to the Yemeni crisis .

The statement emphasized that “during the past six years, the siege and military aggression have targeted 24 million people in Yemen, so that dozens of people die every day because of bombing, hunger, disease, and a shortage of medicines and fuel in medical centers. What is more sad than that is this brutal aggression and cowardly siege did not stop for a moment, even with the outbreak of Covid 19 disease.
