SANAA, March 22 (YPA) – The terrorist Daesh/ISIS terrorist group claimed responsibility yesterday for Monday’s attack that killed members of the Malian army, Russian Today (RT) reported.
Mali’s army staff on Monday announced that 33 soldiers had been killed in an attack by gunmen on an army position near Mali’s border with Niger and Burkina Faso.
“An attack by terrorists on a site in the Gao province on March 15th killed 33 members of the national armed forces and injured 14 others,” the army said in a statement.
“20 dead and their bodies found on the battlefield,” the statement read.
