Pro-coalition party rejects initiative to swap dozens of captives in Marib: Al-Mortada
SANAA, March 15 (YPA) – Head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, Abdulqadir Al-Mortada, on Monday said the other party, loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Marib, rejected Sanaa’s offer to conclude an exchange deal that includes dozens of sick and wounded captives.
“We offered the other party in Marib, through several mediators, to conduct an exchange of these humanitarian cases from both parties as an urgent humanitarian necessity,” Al-Mortada wrote in a tweet on Twitter.
Al-Mortada confirmed that Sanaa has dozens of wounded and sick captives from the other side whose health condition is exhausted, and likewise there are dozens of captives from Sanaa in Marib.
On Saturday, Al-Mortada revealed that Sanaa has hundreds of the other party captives from Taiz and Ibb provinces, who were captured on the fronts of Marib, Nihem, Jawf, and others, and their names were handed over to the Islah party’s representative in Marib several times, but they were rejected as if he considers them third-degree prisoners.
