SANAA, March 14 (YPA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Sharaf, on Sunday stressed the importance of adopting and implementing confidence-building steps and measures as necessary to start any future peaceful political settlement in Yemen.
This came during a meeting in Sanaa with Deputy Head for the United Nations Mission to support Hodeida Agreement (UNMHA), Daniela Kroslak, and the accompanying team.
The foreign minister indicated that the aggression countries, Saudi Arabia and the UAE and their loyalists, continue to violate the Stockholm agreement by targeting civilians in Hodeida province, in addition to the continued siege of Al-Durayhimi district.
Sharaf affirmed that the confidence-building steps and measures are necessary to start any future political settlement and on top of those steps comes the lifting of the blockade, allowing the entry of ships loaded with oil derivatives and domestic gas to the port of Hodeida without obstruction, and reopening of Sanaa International Airport.
At the same time, he pointed out that any efforts towards achieving peace should include stopping the air raids of the aggression coalition that target cities and civilian objects.
He also confirmed that the authorities in Sanaa are keen to provide all facilities and support to the UNMHA in Hodeida.
