Armed ambush targets tribal sheikh in Mocha

TAIZ, March 14 (YPA) – A tribal sheikh was exposed to an assassination attempt in the coastal city of Mocha, which is under the control of the UAE-funded forces led by “Tariq Afash”, west of Taiz province, local sources reported on Sunday.

Gunmen opened fire on Sheikh Yassin Al-Ma’qbi’s car on a street in ‘Al-Qahira’ neighborhood in the city, the sources explained.

The sources added that the gunmen managed to escape, without revealing the health status of Sheikh Al-Ma’qbi or the party behind the incident.
