Senior leader in southern movement calls STC to withdraw from Hadi’s government

ADEN, March 11 (YPA) – The prominent leader in the “Southern Movement”, Hassan Baoum, has called on the southern forces to stand together in front of the challenges and plots taking place in the southern provinces.

In a statement he issued on Wednesday, Baoum called for the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) to withdraw from Hadi’s government, considering that the agreements concluded between the “STC and the Saudi-led coalition “do not bind the southern provinces’ sons.”

Baoum renewed his rejection of any unilateral or multiple southern representation within the so-called “legitimacy” in any upcoming negotiations, calling for the formation of a unified delegation of southern forces and components.

He stressed on taking the services and salaries from “legitimacy” (in reference to Hadi’ government) through what he called the struggle methods.

Baoum pointed out that the wealth and revenues in the southern province are the source of citizens’ livelihood, which must be used to achieve their economic and livelihood security, and cannot be forfeited or bargained with.
