Rouhani: Washington admitted failure of policy of pressure on Tehran

TEHRAN, March 10 (YPA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday that Washington has recognized the failure of the policy of maximum pressure on Tehran, and this is a great victory for the Iranian people.

President Rouhani added, during a cabinet meeting: “Iran has resisted the American sanctions imposed on it, and its victory is soon.”

He confirmed that Tehran would return to its obligations in the nuclear agreement, in the event of the commitment of the other party, noting that the sanctions are the demand of Israel and some reactionary countries, and they should be lifted immediately.

“If the American administration wants to abide by the nuclear agreement and international law, it must prove this in practice,” he said.

Rouhani affirmed that his country would not accept the continuation of sanctions against it, even for an hour, if Washington decides to return to the nuclear deal.
