Yemeni army launches offensive in Taiz

TAIZ, March 03 (YPA) — Yemeni army forces, backed by popular committees on Tuesday damaged an armoured vehicle, killed and wounded dozens of coalition recruits in a large-scale offensive in several areas of Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, a military official said.

According to the military official, the army forces and popular committees carried out a qualitative and surprise attack on Hadi forces positions on the Tabat al-Defa’a,  Aba’ar and Hefan Fronts.

The operation was carried out from three tracks and lasted six hours, he said.

He added that the attack resulted in the death and injury of dozens of traitors, while dozens others fled their sites.

The official also confirmed that the army forces and popular committees will continue to destroy the dens of mercenaries until every inch of the Land of Yemen is cleared.
