Al-Ajri: Yemen’s demands for salaries and lifting blockade are legitimate rights, not favors

SANAA, Aug. 10 (YPA) – Abdul-Malik Al-Ajri, a member of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, stated that Yemen is demanding its full right to use national resources to pay all public sector salaries, stressing that such basic humanitarian demands should never have become a subject of negotiations were it not for obstruction and delays.

In a post on ‘X’, Al-Ajri said the national side is demanding an end to all restrictions and delays affecting commercial shipping, including wheat and fuel supplies to and from Hodeida ports.

He also called for lifting restrictions on civilian flights to and from Sanaa International Airport.

Al-Ajri said these economic and humanitarian rights are guaranteed to the Yemeni people under international law.

He added that continued restrictions are worsening the humanitarian crisis and increasing the suffering of citizens affected by the ongoing war and blockade.
