Hajjah tribes gather to protest against US-backed coalition siege on Yemen

HAJJAH, Feb. 26 (YPA) – Tribes and sheikh of Hajjah province held on FRidah a mass rally to denounce the US-backed Saudi-led coalition’s economic siege on the Yemeni people.

During the rallies that organized in several districts under the title of “The US-Saudi siege kills the Yemeni people, the participants also condemned the continuing maritime piracy and the detention of oil derivative ships.

They called on the coalition’s countries to immediately release the oil ships, food and medicinal products, pointing out that peace in Yemen will not be through statements, but by stopping the war, lifting the siege and stopping foreign interference in the internal affairs of the Yemeni people.

The protesters considered the US blockade on Yemen is a crime against humanity in light of the complicity of the international community and the United Nations.

The tribes affirmed that the fronts would continue to be supplied with money, men and caravans of food and making more sacrifices for defense of the land and national sovereignty.
