Tribal Sheikh: Hadhramout will not be affiliated with any political party

HADHRAMAUT, Feb. 24 (YPA) –  A prominent tribal sheikh in Hadhramaut called for the separation of the province from Aden and Sanaa.

Tribal Sheikh Abdullah al-Kathiri, a close associate of Islah party leader Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, said Hadhramout’s sons would only accept the so-called autonomous province of Hadhramaut.

He pointed out that Hadhramaut will not be affiliated with any political party, explaining that if Yemen becomes two territories, Hadhramaut will be a third territory.
