HADRAMOUT, Feb. 18 (YPA) – A protest rally was held by dozens of activists to demand opening of Mukalla city airport.
According to sources, a military campaign in Hadramout took a number of activists and organizers of the rally to prisons and detention centers of the province.
The sources confirmed that Hadramout governor, Faraj Al-Bahsani, appointed by Hadi’s government, sent a military campaign to suppress a protesters in front of the governorate office, which called for improving living conditions and regular payment of salaries.
The rally called for re-opening of Al-Rayyan Airport, and the empowerment of fishermen to fish in Yemeni waters, after being prevented by Emirati forces in the province.
