Saudi regime arrests well-known preacher in Mecca

MECCA, Feb. 15 (YPA) – Saudi authorities arrested on Monday the well-known preacher, Aisha Al-Muhajiri, after raiding her home in Mecca city.

The account of prisoners of conscience on Twitter stated that the preacher Al-Muhajiri, 65, was arrested after about 20 members of the State Security Service raided her home in Mecca and took her to Thahban prison.

The account confirmed that the reasons for the arrest were her advocacy activity and Quran memorization at her home.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi regime has been conducting arrest campaigns for three years against preachers and opponents of its recent policy.
