NCM predicts cold weather, low temperatures

SANAA, Feb. 14 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected the relatively cold weather with the low temperatures in a number of Yemeni governorates within the coming 24 hours.

The center, in its weather, said that the weather would be very cold in the highe parts of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda and Dhalea, with the minimum temperatures range between 2 to7 degrees Celsius.

The weather may be relatively cold in the high-altitude areas of the provinces of Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, Jawf and Marib, as well as to the desert areas, with the lowest temperatures reached 7 to 12 degrees Celsius.

The center pointed out that the winds would be moderate to active on the parts of the western and southern coast, and Bab al-Mandab, reaching more than 24 knots.

It warned citizens and children during the night and early morning hours to take the necessary precautions to prevent the low temperatures.
