Red Sea Ports Corporation denies arrival of fuel ships at Hodeida port

HODEIDA, Feb. 13 (YPA) – The Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation on Saturday denied what was circulated by Saudi-led aggression coalition media on the arrival of fuel tankers at the berths of Hodeida port.

The corporation confirmed, in a statement, that these allegations are baseless and come in the context of the media war pursued by “the aggression coalition and its media outlets.”

The statement indicated that the tanker ‘PIRAMERD’ was the last tanker that arrived at the port of Hodeida on December 30, 2020, and it was loaded with 28,062 tons of diesel, while the ‘MIURA’ tanker arrived at the port on December 29, 2020, loaded with 14,299 tons of benzene.

Since April 17 2020, the coalition forces have detained many fuel ships, which carry about 423,777 tons of oil derivatives on board, although they obtained permits from the United Nations after being subject to the verification and inspection mechanism, the statement added.

The statement confirmed that the corporation is keen to receive all commercial and relief ships and oil tankers in accordance with the regulations and procedures in effect in all international ports.
