PKK: Over 30 Turkish soldiers killed in the recent clashes

SANAA, Feb. 13 (YPA) – The Popular Defense Forces (PDF), the military wing of the PKK has issued on Friday evening, a statement stating that the Turkish Defense Ministry was working to distort the facts and deceive public opinion about the Qara attack.

According to the Kurdish, Rudaw Media Network, the Popular Defense Forces said that more than 30 Turkish soldiers were killed in the clashes.

The number of those killed was not as much as reported by Turkey, and their names would be revealed in the near future.

On Wednesday, Turkey announced the launch of a new military operation against PKK bases in northern Iraq.

It confirmed that the new operation “Eagle Claw 2” was launched last night in the Iraqi region of Qara, and that the elements of the Workers’ Party are suffering significant losses.

Turkey has conducted a number of military operations against the PKK in northern Iraq, despite Baghdad protests.
