Iraqi security forces launch operation to hunt down ISIS militants in three provinces

SANAA, Feb. (YPA) – Iraq’s security media cell announced Wednesday the launch of a large-scale joint security operation in areas west of Baghdad, Al-Karma island and east of Lake Al-Tharthar, to clear it of ISIS.

“Under the supervision and planning of the Joint Operations Command, This morning, a large-scale joint security operation was launched in areas west of Baghdad, Al-Karma island and east of Lake Al-Tharthar, the media cell said in a statement

“This operation to cleanse these areas of ISIS terrorist gangs and to tighten the boundaries between these leaders,” the statement added.
