Saudi forces withdraw from government compound in Marib

MARIB, Feb. 09 (YPA) – Saudi forces withdrew on Monday from the government compound in Marib city, according to private sources.

The sources affirmed that Saudi Arabia directed its officers in the operations room in the city to quickly leave the city, noting that a convoy consisting of 3 armored cars and four other military vehicles of the military police left Marib towards Al-Wadia border crossing, in Hadramout.

On Monday, Saudi Arabia halted the participation of its forces in defending the government complex in the city, which is the most important stronghold of the Islah Party militants.
