SANAA, Feb. 2 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected very cold weather to continue within the next 24 hours in a number of Yemeni governorates.
In its weather forecast, the center stated the frost wave would prevail over high altitude areas of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea, Marib and Jawf province.
The NCM pointed out that the weather might be cold in the high areas of the governorates Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout and the desert areas during the night and early morning hours, with the active wind on the southern parts of the western coasts and Bab al-Mandab reach its speed at about 25 knots.
It warned residents and farmers of the cold wave during the night and early morning hours, in the mountainous provinces and to take the necessary precautions against low temperatures.
