STC’s militias assault workers from northern provinces in Aden

ADEN, Feb. 01 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia on Monday assaulted workers from the northern provinces under regional pretexts in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen.

According eyewitnesses, the STC militia elements stormed an old-construction building inhabited by workers from the northern provinces, on the 90th Street in Al-Mansoura area, and looted their possessions, including cell phones and their money, without any legal justification.

The eyewitnesses indicated that one of the workers was beaten with a sharp object that seriously injured him in the neck.

Southern human rights activists denounced the violations and ill-treatment that the northern citizens in Aden are subjected to, describing these practices as racist and abhorrent.
