SHABWA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – Fierce clashes broke out on Sunday between two tribes in Shabwa province, east of Yemen, leaving several of dead and wounded from both sides.
The clashes occurred between ‘Al Saleh’ and ‘Al Fatima’ tribes because of vengeance issue between them, according to local sources.
This comes after the outbreak of violent clashes last week, which resulted in the killing of a citizen and injuring of three others from ‘Al Saad’ and ‘Al Asais’ tribes, due to a dispute over the border between them in Baihan district of the province.
According to the sources, the Islah Party-affiliated local authority in Shabwa did not intervene to stop the inter-tribal fighting.
