Global coronavirus cases top 100 million

SANAA, Jan. 27 (YPA) – The world has now surpassed 100 million confirmed cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday.

Data from Johns Hopkins University showed that the number of global casualties reached 100 million, 164,399, with a total of 2,153,477 deaths worldwide, as of 23:33 GMT.

The US also recorded the most cases and deaths worldwide, reaching 2,536,2794 and 423,010, respectively.

India recorded 1,067,6838 cases, ranking second in the world. Brazil came in third with 8,871,393 cases and is the second largest in the world, with 217,664 deaths.

Countries with more than 2 million cases also include Russia, Britain, France, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Colombia.

Other countries with more than 50,000 deaths include India, Mexico, Britain, Italy, France, Russia, Iran, Spain, Germany and Colombia.
