Shabwani Elite leader reveals Saudi role in handing Shabwa to Islah party

SANAA, Jan. 26 (YPA) – The leader of the Emirati-funded “Shabwani Elite” militia, Muhammad Al-Buhar, revealed the role of Saudi Arabia in handing over Shabwa province to Islah party at the end of August 2019.

Al-Buhar confirmed in a statement to the Emirates Al-Ghad Al-Mashriq channel today, Tuesday, that the Saudi officer “Abu Sultan” was the one who gave instructions for the “Shabwani Elite” to exit from Ataq, and to hand it over to the Islah militants at the end of August.

Al-Buhar explained that Saudi Arabia expelled them from Shabwa, and it will return them to it under the so-called “Riyadh Agreement” signed between the “STC” and the “Hadi government” in early November 2019.

He indicated that the reform aims to destroy Shabwa and the southern governorates, vowing to invade Shabwa in the coming months.

Al-Buhar pointed out that the reform planted elements aiming to obstruct the “elite” during its future landing to implement the military part of the “Riyadh Agreement.”

Commander Abd Rabbo Laheb, commander of the so-called “Special Forces” currently affiliated with Islah in Shabwa, took control of the city of Ataq after violent confrontations with the “Elite” militia at the end of August 2019.
