NMC announces continuation of widespread dust, cold weather
SANAA, Jan. 23 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center announced on Saturday that the mountainous provinces, parts of deserts and inland hills will continue to be affected by the cold air mass and the widespread dust within the next 24 hours.
The cold weather will continue over large parts of the mountainous heights of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda, Dhalea provinces Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Hajjah, Mahweet, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, Marib and Jawf provinces.
The continued effect of widespread dust on parts of desert areas of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Marib and Jawf provinces, highlands of Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Sanaa, Mahweet, Dhamar, Bayda, Ibb, Taiz, and parts of western and southern coastal areas.
The center warned citizens against the wave of dust, especially vehicle drivers on highways, against a decrease in the horizontal visibility.
The center also warned chest patients, the elderly and children not to be directly exposed to dirt and dust, and warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, sick people, and workers during the night and early morning hours of the effects of the extremely cold weather.
