FM calls for Arab cooperation to confront any schemes targeting resistance axis states
SANAA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf strongly condemned on Friday Thursday’s terrorist bombing that targeted citizens in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and resulted in deaths and injuries.
In a cable of condolence and solidarity he sent to his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein, called on his counterparts in the Arab countries, especially the countries of the resistance axis, to strengthen cooperation to combat cross-border terrorism that targets them.
The Foreign Minister affirmed that the Yemeni leadership, government and people condemn these criminal acts and stand by the brothers in Iraq.
Sharaf pointed out that the Iraqi people’s enemies aim, through this bombing, to cause chaos, sabotage and instability in the service of a cross-border agenda and scheme that not only targets Iraq, but also most countries in the region, especially the resistance axis countries.
The plan is to mix the cards in the Arab region and the Middle East to make room for more American-Zionist normalization steps, he added.
The Foreign Minister expressed condolences to the families of the victims, asking the Almighty to grant healing to the wounded.
