Hamas mourns Jenin martyrs, calls for resistance across West Bank

GAZA, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourned the Palestinians killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Harsh al-Saada area of Jenin, describing the attack as a massacre.

In a statement on Friday, Hamas said the attack was part of Israel’s record of violence against the Palestinian people and warned that it would fuel further anger and confrontation.

“The West Bank will remain a source of revolutionaries and acts of resistance, and our steadfast people will continue to hold on to their land, rights and principles,” Hamas said, adding that the resistance would remain committed to the path of those killed until Palestinians achieve freedom and end the Israeli occupation.

Hamas held “Israel” fully responsible for the consequences of the airstrike and escalating Israeli crimes and the policy of killing, demolition and intimidation.

It stressed that continued Israeli aggression would not bring Israel security or stability.

The Movement called on Palestinians in Jenin and across the occupied West Bank to escalate all forms of resistance, confront Israeli attacks and settler violence, and unite national efforts to strengthen Palestinian steadfastness in the face of the policy of killing, annexation and displacement.

Hamas also called on Arab and Islamic countries, the international community, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to take immediate action to halt Israeli attacks against Palestinians and their land and end the impunity that encourages Israeli leaders to continue their violations.
