SANAA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – US President Joe Biden has signed a set of executive orders drawn up by his predecessor, President Donald Trump, including the United States’ return to the Paris climate accord and the World Health Organization.
The executive orders also include a travel ban from some Muslim countries, which Trump approved at the beginning of his presidential term in 2017, and he will stop funding the construction of the wall on the border with Mexico.
Biden was sworn in as President of the United States yesterday, placing his hand on the gospel inherited by his family for more than a century before Supreme Court Chief John Roberts and pledged to “preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States.”
The presidency passed to Biden, 78, who became the oldest American president in history, during a mini-ceremony in Washington that did not see the usual amount of pomp and festive atmosphere.
