Bahrain’s people call for boycott of the National Bank

SANAA, Jan. 20 (YPA) – Bahrain’s people called on Wednesday for boycott of the National Bank after concluding an agreement with its Israeli counterpart.

Videos have been published on social media by citizens going to the branches of the National Bank of Bahrain to close their bank accounts.

Some clients considered the bank’s step with the Israeli entity as a treason.
On January 17, the National Bank of Bahrain signed an agreement with the Israeli Bank Hapoalim in the personal presence of the head of the Israeli bank, who is visiting Bahrain on an official mission.

This normalization Israeli entity is faced with popular rejection by the loyalist and opposition of the regime in Bahrain, as it is considered a path contrary to Arab and Islamic values and the traditions of the people of Bahrain.
