Saudi Arabia summons Yemeni military leader

TAIZ, Jan. 20 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia summoned on Wednesday the former military commander loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Taiz province.

According to sources, Sadiq Sarhan, the commanders of the so-called 22nd Mika Brigade and Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar’s assistant, suddenly left Taiz city heading to Saudi Arabia, through Marib province.

The sources expected that Sadiq Sarhan has been summoned to discuss the Emirati proposal to establish al-Mocha axis, which would include factions of Islah party under the leadership of Tariq Saleh, in an attempt to declare al-Mocha district as an independent region, after annexing coastal areas of Hodeida.

Other sources suggested that Saudi Arabia’s step towards Sadiq Sarhan came within the framework of arranging the papers of the Islah Party to fight battles against the UAE funded military factions on the West Coast, after the Saudi-Qatari reconciliation.
