Frost hits crops in 6 governorates
SANAA, Jan. 20 (YPA) – Agricultural crops were damaged on Wednesday by the frost wave in six Yemeni governorates during the past two days.
The Yemeni astrophysicist Adnan al-Shawafi revealed that agricultural crops were damaged due to the frost wave in several areas of Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea, Ibb, Sanaa and Amran provinces.
Al-Shawafi renewed his warning for farmers to be careful from cold waves until the next week.
He also warned elderly, children and the sick of the very low temperatures and called on workers who go to work during the early morning hours to wear winter clothes to prevent cold shocks.
