KHARTOUM, Jan. 13 (YPA) – A Sudanese military Apache plane crashed on Wednesday in the state of Gedarif, which borders the state of Ethiopia, Sudanese sources reported.
The military sources said that the plane was carrying weapons and ammunition, and it was completely burnt down while its crew survived, without revealing the causes of the crash.
The incident coincides with the penetration of an Ethiopian military plane into Sudanese airspace, in a move that may herald a new escalation of the existing tension between the two countries, according to “Russia Today” TV channel.
