Cold weather to continue in most Yemeni provinces: NCM

SANAA, Jan. 16 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) on Saturday forecasted the continued effect of the cold air mass on mountainous provinces, parts of deserts and inland plateaus, with a slight increase in the minimum temperature during the next 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center stated the weather would be cold to very cold in the high parts of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda and Dhalea.

The weather would be cold also in the highlands of the provinces of Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, West Jawf and Marib, and desert areas during the night and early morning hours; warning of low temperatures, according to the center’s bulletin.

The center urged citizens, especially the elderly, children, sick people, and workers during the night and early morning hours, as well as travelers to those provinces, to take precautions to prevent severe cold shocks.
