SOCOTRA, May 24 (YPA) – The tropical cyclone Mekunu on Thursday heavily the coast of Socotra Island causing the flooding of several areas in Hadibo, the capital of Yemen’s province of Socotra.
Local sources told the Yemeni Press Agency that the floods are raging, and Hadibo people are crying out.

On Wednesday the  Mekunu  caused the sinking of three ships sank, two ships were sank off coast of Socotra and the third in east of the coast of Hadibo.

In additional four members of the ships’ crews were survived and 16 were lost.
