SANAA, Jan. 05 (YPA) – Yemen has won the UNESCO International Literacy Prize for the year 2020 through the program presented by the Literacy Office in the capital Sanaa.
Director of the Media and Public Relations Department at the Literacy Office in the capital Sanaa, Abdul-Rahman Al-Aslami, won the award out of 66 programs presented from around the world for a program entitled “Refugee education and integration into literacy classes in Yemeni society.”
The UNESCO International Literacy Prize for 2020 was dedicated to honor the distinct imprints made by a number of literacy programs, in line with the slogan of the organization’s celebration of the International Literacy Day.
