Islah Party loots 47 million riyals per day from Shabwa revenues: Media activist

SANAA, Jan. 05 (YPA) – A southern media activist loyal to Saudi-led coalition has revealed that the Yemeni Islah Party loots 47 million riyals a day from the revenues of the oil-rich Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.

The southern activist, Ali Al-Nasi, said in a tweet on Twitter that “Islah takes revenues from the service offices in Shabwa, which exceeds 47 million riyals per day, without depositing them at the central bank in the province.”

It is noteworthy that the employees of the Finance Office in Shabwa carried out a strike that lasted for several days during last December after the kidnapping of the head of the General Accounting Unit on the orders of the pro-Islah party governor, Mohammed bin Adio, against a background related to financial revenues.
