Al-Houthi comments on Gulf reconciliation

SANAA, Jan. 5 (YPA) – Top member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi commented on Monday evening on the steps to be taken ahead of the 41st Gulf Summit in Riyadh on Tuesday, which promised to end the Gulf boycott of Qatar.

“We congratulate Qatar and its people on lifting the blockade and we congratulate the return of relations with Saudi Arabia,” al-Houthi said on his Twitter account.

” It will be the beginning of ending the wars and tensions in the region and the return of Arab wisdom through strengthening brotherhood and stopping the aggression and lifting the siege on Yemen,” he said.

He continued: Three points will confirm the inevitability of the outcome of the Gulf reconciliation with Qatar under the auspices of Kuwait.

The following points are:

The lifting of the blockade should not be a formality, which literally impose it back after the summit.

It Should not be for the sake of normalization with Zionist entity, so that it is the goal of the summit, and it is most important outcome, especially with the presence of an American delegation at the summit.

It should stem from the independence of each country while maintaining its international peer-to-peer relations.
