Afghanistan: 38 Taliban militants killed

SANAA, Jan. 4 (YPA) -At least 38 Taliban militants were killed in a security operation by Afghan forces in the southern Afghan province of Kandahar.

According to the Afghan Ministry of Defense, security forces targeted 38 Armed Taliban fighters in The Argandab and Zahari districts of Kandahar province as they planned attacks on afghan national security and defense forces.

38 #Taliban were killed in Zheria and Arghandab district of #Kandahar province, yesterday. They were planning to attack #ANDSF positions when they were targeted by ANA and AAF. Additionally, 3 strongholds and a large amount of their weapons and ammunitions were destroyed.

The Afghan security forces succeeded in destroying three M23 positions and a large quantity of their weapons and ammunition.
