Pakistani army shoots down Indian drone in Kashmir

SANAA, Jun. 3 (YPA) – Pakistan announced on Saturday evening that it had shot down an Indian drone that violated the airspace of the border control line in the disputed Kashmir region between the two countries.

The “Russia Today” website quoted the statement of the Pakistani army’s public relations unit, stating that an Indian “espionage march” penetrated the border control line on the Pakistani side of Kashmir by about 500 meters and that Pakistani forces had shot it down.

During the conflict over Kashmir, Pakistan and India fought 3 wars in 1948, 1965 and 1971 that resulted in the deaths of about 70,000 on both sides.
