Coalition militias confiscate citizens’ homes in Mocha

TAIZ, Jan. 02 (YPA) – Informed sources revealed Saturday that the UAE-backed forces of Saudi-led coalition stormed the homes of citizens in the coastal city of Mocha, west of Taiz province.

The sources said that military crews belonging to the former Minister of Defense, Haitham Qassem, stormed the houses of citizens at Mocha Junction to evict their owners and residents by force of arms, with the aim of housing his soldiers.

The tribal sheikhs intervened and prevented those forces from carrying out their goals, the sources added, noting that the incident caused widespread discontent among the people.

There are still tensions that could lead to military confrontations between citizens and Haitham Qassem’s forces, the sources explained.
