Parliament condemns coalition’s shelling on wedding hall in Hodeida

SANAA, Jan. 2 (YPA) – The Speaker of Parliament, Yahya Ali Al-Rai, strongly condemned on Saturday the Friday’s artillery shelling carried out by the Saudi-led coalition and its tools on the wedding hall in Al-Hawak district in Hodeida province.

The Speaker said, in a statement, that the shelling the wedding hall by the coalition, which killed three citizens and wounded seven others, is a war crime is added to the series of crimes committed by the coalition against the Yemeni people for six years.

Al-Rai pointed out that the continued escalation, targeting and direct bombardment of residential areas and civilian objects confirms the extent of the disdain of the coalition of and its tools for the Yemeni people’s lives.

He held the United Nations and human rights organizations that claim to sponsor human rights, responsible for this crime against citizens.

The speaker called on all parliaments, the United Nations, the Security Council, human rights and humanitarian organizations and all free people of the world, to play their role for pressuring the coalition countries to stop its crimes against the Yemeni people.

On Friday, the coalition and its tools waged an artillery attack on the wedding hall in Hodeida, killing three citizens and wounding seven others.
