Extended meeting discusses vision to address phenomenon of plastic bags

SANAA, Dec. 22 (YPA) – Deputy Minister of Water and Environment, Hanin Al-Duraib, held an extended meeting to address the phenomenon of the accumulation of plastic bags.

At the meeting, Al-Duraib called for studying ways and appropriate treatments for environmental damage caused by plastic bags.

He urged the concerned authorities to play their role in preserving the environment, in a manner that guarantees a shift plastic bags that pollute the environment to making and using biodegradable bags.

Al-Dreib affirmed the Ministry’s readiness and cooperation with concerned authorities to accelerate the elaboration of procedures and take the necessary measures and plans practically.
