Saudi Arabia recruits hundreds of ‘Salafists’ in Hadramout, Mahra

SANAA, Dec. 20 (YPA) – Saudi forces opened a month ago a camp to recruit Salafi militants loyal to them in the desert between Mahra and Hadramout provinces, east of Yemen, informed sources reported Sunday.

“About 300 of Salafi elements are being trained in ‘Ramah’ camp by Saudi officers,” the sources said.

The sources explained that most of the recruits were from youth, who were brought from several southern provinces to ‘Qashn’ district in Mahra province during 2017, and they were later transferred after the residents’ refusal to the vicinity of Al-Ghaydah Airport, where Saudi Arabia began building a residential city for them.
