Ex-president Saleh’s grandson dies in Oman

SANAA, May 23 (YPA) – Kanaan Yahya Mohammed Abdullah Saleh, son of the former president Saleh’s nephew, died on Tuesday in the Omani capital, Muscat, in mysterious circumstances.

Kanaan’s death was a surprise. Some said he died in a traffic accident in Muscat, while others said the death was due to a health problem.

Yahya Saleh said, on his Facebook page, that his son died because of his severe grief over his grandfather Saleh, who was killed during the events of December 2017 sedition in the capital Sanaa.

Kanaan is Saleh’s grandson from his eldest daughter Balqis, who has been divorced from her cousin Yahya Mohammed Saleh several years ago, and he has been in Oman for a period.
