Hajjah governor visits survived child from coalition air strikes on wedding

HAJJAH, May 24 (YPA) – Hajjah governor Hilal Abdo al-Sufi visited on Wednesday a child has survived from the Saudi-led coalition air strikes on the province.

Five-year-old child, Sameeh Damman, who survived from air strikes waged by the coalition fighter jets on a wedding party in Bani Qais area.

Al-Sufi touched upon a speech of President Mahdi al-Mashat in saying “the child represents a grievance to all the Yemeni people,” calling on all the free people to stand with this the grievance to prosecute the perpetrators.

Sameeh appeared in the footage as covered with dust of the airstrike while hugging his bleeding father in the rubble. He refused the rescue workers or the residents to take the body of his deceased father for burial.

On April 22, the coalition warplanes targeted a wedding party in Bani Qais area of Hajjah province, killing 35 civilians and injuring 55 others, including 30 children.

The governor condemned the war crimes committed by the Saudi-led coalition warplanes against the Yemeni people and its infrastructure.
