Mass rally organized in Taiz against coalition

TAIZ, Dec. 18 (YPA) – A protest rally was organized on Friday by dozens of citizens loyal to the Islah Party in Taiz province, source said.

At the rally, the protesters condemned the “Hadi government’s silence towards the economic deterioration and the collapse of Yemeni riyal’s value against foreign currencies.

They roamed the city streets, demanding to expel the UAE occupation and its tutelage from Socotra Island and the Emirati tampering with Yemeni wealth.

Islah Party called on its supporters to demonstrate and gather on Saturday, in “Al-Masbah” quarter in Jamal Street, to demand essential solutions to the economic situation.

The city of Taiz has seen angry protests as a result of the high prices and the deterioration of the value of the Yemeni riyal against foreign currencies.
