Thousands in Taiz protest against Hadi government, coalition

TAIZ, Dec. 12 (YPA) – Thousands of Yemenis took to the street in Taiz city in mass protest against the continuing deterioration of economic situation, denouncing the inability of Hadi puppet government, and the failure of Saudi-led coalition states.

The protesters chanted slogans denouncing the “corruption of the Hadi government”, and demanding the departure of the Saudi-Emirati alliance.

They also held up signs saying “take your trust fund and leave us our wealth “, ” take your aid, and leave us our oil”, “take your donations, and leave us our ports “, “Neither  partisan or parties, our revolution is a hungry revolution.”

The demonstrators called on the coalition countries and the “Hadi government” to intervene quickly to put an end to the overall economic collapse and take the necessary measures for its serious repercussions on the lives of citizens.”

Moreover, they threatened with mass escalation if the collapse of the Yemeni rial continues, without serious and rapid intervention.”

According to local sources, the demonstration roamed they city after Friday prayers and marched to the office of Hadi governor at the oil company in Jamal Street, downtown.

The sources confirmed that the demonstrators forced shops and exchange companies to close their doors, in protest against the rapid collapse of the Yemeni rial.

The demonstrators accused the coalition countries and the “Hadi government” of practicing a policy of starvation to achieve personal and regional gains and objectives.
