Crisis of lack of bread hits Taiz

TAIZ, Dec. 12 (YPA) – Crisis of lack of a loaf of bread continued for the fifth consecutive day in Islah-controlled areas in Taiz province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources affirmed that most bakeries are still closed to citizens due to the high prices of flour and the lack of it from the market.

The sources emphasized that hundreds of citizens in the neighborhoods of the city are unable to secure their need of bread despite their search for it all day.

Taiz province witnessed a protest rally, condemning the hysterical rise in food prices and the lack of flour, in addition to the continued collapse of the riyal’s exchange rates.
