Pompeo: Saudi Arabia could reach agreements on normalizing relations with Israel in future

SANAA, Dec. 10 (YPA) – US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo expressed his conviction that Saudi Arabia could reach agreements on normalizing relations with Israel in the future.

In response to a question during an interview with with The Wall Street Journal, in this regard, he said, “I am completely convinced of that.”

“They have a common understanding of what promotes peace and stability in the Middle East, and this is what pushed the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan to normalize relations with Israel,” Pompeo added, in the interview distributed by the US State Department on Tuesday.

Pompeo believes that many countries in the region will join the so-called Abrahamic Agreements in the future to normalize relations between the Arab countries and Israel.

“There will be many hurdles and obstacles, and it is clear that it is impossible to predict exactly when this will happen,” he said.

It is worth mentioning that “Israel” signed what it called peace agreements and normalization of relations with the UAE and Bahrain, on September 15, under the auspices of the United States.
