SANAA, Dec. 5 (YPA) – The Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Syria Geir Pedersen confirmed that the next meeting of the committee to discuss the Syrian constitution will be held in Geneva on the 25th of next January.
Pedersen announced in a press conference the conclusion of the fourth round of meetings of the Constitution Debate Committee in Geneva.
The fourth round of the committee’s meetings began in Geneva last Monday, where the Syrian national delegation in the meetings stressed the need to adopt the issue of the return of refugees as an overarching national principle because of its importance at various levels, foremost among which is the humanitarian level and the importance of some countries stopping politicizing this file in addition to emphasizing two principles Two main patriots are the humanitarian file and the issue of lifting the illegal sanctions imposed on the Syrian people.
